COURSE CONTENT

The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Package comprises the following modules:

  • GWO Fire Awareness: Identifying potential hazards within the wind industry and implementing strategies to control and mitigate them.
  • GWO First Aid: Administering safe and efficient first aid in compliance with GWO standards within the wind turbine industry.
  • GWO Manual Handling: Executing manual handling tasks accurately within the wind industry and wind turbine settings.
  • GWO Sea Survival: Demonstrating proficiency in sea survival techniques and ensuring safe transfers between vessels and installations.
  • GWO Working at Height: Executing safe and comprehensive basic rescue operations from elevated positions in remote turbine environments, while adhering to emergency response protocols for newcomers to the global wind industry

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Applicants must be WINDA registered before the course starts. You are responsible for arranging your own accommodation/travel to our course centre in Portsmouth.
