Train the painter is the world’s leading industry recognised and fully accredited Industrial Coating Applicator Training Programme.

The train the painter training has been developed by coating experts in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

This Train the painter (TTP) Protective Coating Training course is the foundation for all other TTP courses and must be completed in order to undertake any further programmes. It covers all the essential knowledge required prior to stepping on site. This is in addition to one day of essential practical training that applies all the key skills of what you have learnt from the important days of study of theory allowing you to put your hard work into a practical setting. From this course you will receive the Bronze CSCS 5-year ID card which is globally recognised as the minimum paint training requirement, making it the perfect introduction for anyone just starting out in the industrial coatings industry.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for arranging your own accommodation/travel to our course centre.

PLEASE NOTE

Delegates must have access to a device and an internet connection to complete the e-learning elements of the course. Upon booking delegates will be registered for the e-learning elements of the course which must be successfully completed prior to attending the practical training sessions.

Delegates are required to pay for their own certification on completion of the course, prices can be found on the Corrodere website.

  • Route to Bronze card – You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator Bronze Blaster training
  • Route to Silver card – You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Spray Painter training.
  • Route to Gold card – You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Spray Painter training.

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT

We will provide you with all the required PPE for your practical, however you must turn up on the day with the correct clothing and safety boots. You must also have a valid form of ID. Please remember to bring a packed lunch, hot drinks will be provided. After booking your course online, we will send you a welcome pack / induction email which you will be required to fill out before attending the course.
